Joe has served on the Foundation board since 2012. He is a partner and co-chair of law firm Mirick O’Connell’s Creditors’ Rights, Bankruptcy and Reorganization Group, where from Mirick’s Westborough, MA office he concentrates on creditor and debtor rights, bankruptcy proceedings, out-of-court loan restructurings, and the purchase and sale of distressed businesses.
Joe also serves as a panel Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee for the U.S. Department of Justice in the District of Massachusetts and has acted as an operating trustee and as a court-appointed examiner in numerous bankruptcy cases. Joe has been named Best Lawyers’ Worcester Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law ‘Lawyer of the Year’ each year from 2016 to 2020.
In addition to serving on the 26.2 board, Joe also serves on the board of the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce and leads financial literacy seminars for juniors and seniors at Hopkinton High School.
Joe has been a resident of Hopkinton since 1998, where he lives with his wife and two children. When his knees cooperate, Joe continues to enjoy running, and has run five marathons, including four Bostons and one New York.
